The Cyara Platform offers a range of User Roles that have different levels of access to parts of the Platform. These User Roles are configured by Cyara and can not be modified. See below for a brief description of each role and their primary use case, as well as a detailed table highlighting what each role is capable of accessing.
Role Summary
These current roles should be used when creating new users via the API. When creating new users via the Cyara Platform, these role types can be selected from the available dropdown menu.
Note: In order to create new users you will need User Admin role.

| User Admin | Adds/Removes Users from the Platform |
| QA Lead | Manages all Test Cases, Blocks, Campaigns, Reports etc. A full level of access. |
| QA Engineer | Manages Test Cases but can not edit reusable Blocks. |
| QA Analyst | Has access to Reporting |
| Development Lead | Same as QA Lead |
| Development Engineer | Same as QA Engineer |
| Operations Lead | Same as QA Lead |
| Operations Engineer | Monitors the dashboards to check for failing tests, manages escalations to the Operations Lead role. |
| Business Analyst | Can generate and export reports. |
| Business Executive | Has access to view main dashboards to check status. |
Legacy Role Summary
Legacy roles will still appear on some older Cyara User Accounts, however these roles should not be used when creating new Users.
